Rangers vs. Young Guns

Last night we took on the Central team Young Guns. This team is all of Jacob's classmates..including his best bud Cole Taylor. Jacob hit a grand slam his first time up to bat and his second time he would have made another one but he didn't touch 3rd base so by the time he got back to 3rd they had the ball in. After that the other team had him figured out and when he would get up to bat they would put some bigger kids in the outfield and move them all the way to the fence so they would be ready to get the ball. He only made a single and double on his next two bats. The Young Guns had a couple of players on their team that could hit home runs as well. It was a very close game and we ended up loosing 20-21 and played 5 innings. We usually get in 3 innings and every once in a while will get to the 4th inning. Both teams played really well and had lots of fun.

Funny things the boys do and say....

After I picked Jared up from daycare and we were on our way to get Jacob we were stopped at a stop light and Jared said, "that is a red bud tree" and sure enough it was. I said, "you are really smart...how did you know that?" He said that his daddy told him that this morning.
