Playing in the snow

We couldn't let the first snow of the year go by without playing in it a little. Jared and Julia liked it for a few minutes but then they were too cold and wanted to go back in the house. Jacob on the other hand could have stayed out all day if we would have let him. He really liked being pulled by the 4 wheeler on the sled (made from a top off of a plastic box). Jared liked riding on the 4 wheeler. One time Jared and Jacob were riding with my older brother Jason and they turned the 4 wheeler on its side. No one was hurt but Jared would never ride with Jason again and Jacob said, "Let's do that again".

Christmas with the rest of the family

Around lunch time Maddie, Josh, Nene and Emma made there way through the snow to our house to open some more presents.

Jared got a tractor(John Deere) which he loves and it plays the chicken dance(which Emma loves). I think she was a little sad that she couldn't dance to the song anymore at her house. She can enjoy it at our house now though.

Here is Jacob getting his present from Josh and Nene...it was a remote control tarantula.

Here is Maddie opening her presents. Looks like she got something she really likes.

Little Ms. Emma loves Princess anything. Her great Aunt Elena got her these wings and she wore them around the house forever.

Julia loves my "titty" as she calls it. She chased it around everywhere. It looks like Tiger found a hiding spot under the tree to get some rest.

Christmas Day Morning

My side of the family always spends the night with each other Christmas ever so we can all be together to see the kids when Santa comes. This year my younger brother and his wife and little girl ended up staying at their house and came over later in the day for lunch along with Maddie.

Here is the before picture. Julia and Jacob both got a bike from Santa and Jared got a 4 wheeler.

Here is the boys when they first saw the living room. This year we ended up having to wake Jacob up. Julia was the first one awake then Jared.

It's hard to tell from these pictures but these snow drifts were almost as tall as Kenny's truck and these were taken a few days after Christmas.

I took some pictures of the Jones kids while we were at Mema and Pepa's for Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve a day to remember

Christmas eve morning we learned we would be having a white Christmas. It started that morning and snowed all day. It was definitely a blizzard. The wind was blowing probably 30 mph and the snow drifts were huge. Some drifts were at least 4-5ft tall. I think we ended up getting close to 1/2 ft of snow. The problem was that everyone wanted to get out for Christmas eve and everyone was getting stuck. Kenny's truck is 4 wheel drive so we didn't get stuck we just helped a lot of people get unstuck. We were suposed to be at his brothers for Christmas with his mom by 3pm...we left about 2:30 knowing it would take us a little longer than normal (15min) we ended up getting there about 3:30. You could hardly see to drive and then the snow was so deep and there were so many cars stuck that we had to try and get around them. We had Christmas at Kenny's brothers and then we headed out to his grandparent's house a little early so we could try and get home before dark. Once we got out there Kenny had to help 2 people get unstuck.

While we were enjoying opening presents my older brother and his family went to pick my parents up from their house and take them to our house for Christmas and they ended up getting stuck about a dozen times just trying to get out of my parents drive way.

This is a picture of Pepa(Kenny's grandpa) opening the present that Jacob and Jared got him. At Jacob's school they have a Santa shop and we let him by presents for all the grandparents and and Jared and Kenny and I. Pepa got a bouncy ball from Jacob and a pair of house shoes from Jared. He really loved both of the presents.

This is Papa Nose(Kenny's dad) opening the presents that the boys got him. Jared got him an OU t-shirt and Jacob got him an Army shirt.

Mema got a pair of house shoes from Jared and a pumpkin bowl from Jacob.

Mema has been making everyone quilts and she finished Jared's for Christmas he really liked it. She got both of the boys a jacket for Christmas and Jacob loves his...he would wear it everyday if I would let him.

Jared Christmas Party

Jared had his Christmas party at Daycare and had a lot of fun as well. They exchanged gifts and ate lots of goodies. He is in the 3 year old room at First Christian and he really loves his teacher Mrs. Cindi.
